ABOUT MULS

 

Mongolian University of Life Sciences (MULS) was established in 1942, originating as the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine at the National University of Mongolia. MULS has been developed as a unique science and technology institution based on life sciences as the scientific field that supports the fundamentals of human society, agriculture, and industry.

Today, MULS strives toward building a society that enables sustainable development and holds to the fundamental principles of contributing to the advancement of science and technology in armony with society and the natural environment in Mongolia.

EDUCATION

Our programs allow students to pursue degrees in specialized areas and our university is committed to satisfying student needs for life-long continuing education. The university is distinctive in that all of its undergraduate and graduate schools and research institutions are located on one campus, creating an environment that is conducive to combining education and research. Currently we have 4485 undergraduate and 2952 graduate students studying at MULS.

MULS offering 59 undergraduate programs, 52 master’s and 18 doctoral programs.

RESEARCH

MULS promotes the creation of new knowledge through mission-oriented research, varying from basic inquiries to high technology applications in the field of life sciences, and the integration of both as mainstays supporting human society, fulfilling social responsibility in transmitting science and technology information towards a sustainable society and green development.

 

 

INTERNATIONAL EXCHANGE 

Through education and research activities that foster the development of science and technology, MULS strengthens academic and cultural exchanges with foreign countries to construct a global society, and contributing to maintaining international peace and improving the welfare of humanity.

MULS has developed a wide range of collaboration with international research organizations and universities and launched partnerships with over 210 universities and research institutes from 37 countries worldwide, including the Russian Federation, Austria, Belgium, Canada, China, the Czech Republic, Germany, Japan, South Korea, the Netherlands, Poland, and Hungary.

 

 

SCHOOLS

MULS has got 6 schools including School of Veterinary Medicine, School of Animal Science and Biotechnology, School of Agro-ecology, School of Engineering and Technology, School of Economics and Business and School of Applied Sciences. MULS also have 2 local branch school in Darkhan Province and Bayankhongor Province, 3 Polytechnic college located in Tuv, Selenge and Bulgan Province and 3 high schools.
